Welcome to the first topic of this Newgrounds Guide: The History of Newgrounds!

Everything starts from somewhere, right? Even something as small as an atom to something as big as the whole concept of "origin of life" (aka where biogenesis started to you biology freaks) starts at a point, and builds on from there. Where did Newgrounds start from? How did it turn from a little site for a single 14 year old teenage boy to a massive corporation that is the official profession of 11 site programmers? How did it manage to get ranked on top 20 richest sites (NG is #11 as of now) from that puny little site it originally was? What made it get around 900,000 to 1,000,000 visitors per day? These are good questions, and to get a good solid image of Newgrounds, and why it is today, we have to confront the past to see the future. In this case, it is confronting the history of Newgrounds. This section of the guide will attempt to cover almost everything, so please enjoy and prepare to be amazed at some situations Tom has somehow overcame.
